People movement capture system for 3D recreations.

Development of a tracking system able to recreate three-dimensionally people movements in a room, to store them in a database for further study and visualization in the systems developed for this research.

In order to improve elderly people access in their family environment and to make better and easier the use of technologies and house devices, there is a need to study elderly people habits in their family environment. For this reason, we aim to develop a tracking system to register any movement in a room, and to store them digitally, keeping important parameters like body spatial location or individual recognition. Likewise, the possibility of tracking without any marker or additional devices on the tracked person will be researched; thus, people will be able to carry out their daily activity without any kind of impediment.

 

Consequently, the main purpose of this project is to research and to develop a tracking system to recreate three-dimensionally people movements in a room, to store them in a database for further study and visualization in the systems developed for this work.
